Why do you use a silicone stick to smooth it out and not just use it to get the finished product, that’s what most people here in Australia do anyway

Apparently the soapy water will cause a micro gap in any parts that haven't fully stuck and will allow mould to grow as the silicone won't stick to the soapy water

Never spay before using the profile tool. Spray will go behind the sealant and it won’t seal.
