I actually found cleaning to be my number one coping mechanism when I was rock bottom because scrubbing/cleaning distracted my attention/thoughts from all the dark stuff

I used to clean my bedroom as a teen by sitting on the floor and tidying up everything within reach, then would move a little and do it again. little steps add up to a lot of progress really quickly!
