Ditch the kit lenses altogether. Buy only the body and pair it with the Sigma 18-50 f2.8. Fixed aperture all across the focal length. You lose OIS but you gain a couple of extra stops of light

oh no, had that one and was not happy with it. so I went for Sigma Contemporary 18-50mm 2.8 DC DN. way better and steady aperture through the whole zoom range
