I think that an empath turns dark most of the time because they finally crack and give up fighting against the abuse that they have suffered. I think they can be much more dangerous than a narc.

It’s fight or flight; I wasn’t functioning outside of trying to avoid conflict. I would take it for days trying not to react. The snap point was not me and evil 🥺

It is choice. We get free and heal. Or, we are corrupted. There are those that are Dark Empaths. But empathy does not become what has hurt them. If it twists the soul that way it was already present.
