Best thing my parents did was get us in 4-H as young kids. It teaches so much! And we didn’t get to keep all the money. Had to pay back feed costs. Hard work pays off

when I turned 13 I got a 20 bucks a month cloths allowance and I worked for 5 bucks an hour to feed calves then I got 10 bucks an hour to milk cows. 😂 I didn't get charged rent.

My kids if in school don't pay rent. But if they live at home without going to school full time they have to pay rent. They must also buy a box of canned cat food or a bag of cat litter.

exqctly I charged mine 600$ and they had to pay their own insurance and cellphone bills. both knew how to handle money when they moved out. gave them the nest egg they built when they left the home.
