We were just retaught by IDEXX reference laboratories! 3 dips in fixative then hold for 30 seconds, 3 dip and hold for 5 seconds in both red/purple dyes. The slides look AMAZING!

I do ten to fifteen dips in each stain. There is debate between some of us at our own clinic, but we always get the same answers, so 🤷🏼♀️

Use a clothes pin to hold the slide, it only stains that and not your fingers:)

I was taught that the blue one isn't a dye, but a fixative, so the lighter isn't really necessary then
