in Kenya after washing them like you did, we soak them in bleach and powdered soap 3 more times before rinsing and wrapping them in kitchen towel or sprinkling salt... they come out white like milk

When you wash the white canvas, wrap them with white toilet paper while the shoes are wet then put them out in the sun to dry. They look brand new after

Tip for white shoes. Scrub them twice w/ Dawn, then scrub w/ awesome cleaner, rinse then spray the awesome cleaner & let them sit in the sun for couple of hours then rinse off & dry in The sun!
