I had a “standing appt” with my old therapist. But like obviously things move. Vacations. If Christmas falls on a Thursday, I don’t expect to still have therapy on Thursday that week 😂

My gma did hair for years. She had ladies who had standing appointments for like 20 yrs and they understood when she had a family reunion or smthin. If a 90 yr old can adapt, so can you 😅

My stylist has me on her books every 3 weeks. Of course her or I have Saturdays that we need to cancel or reschedule the appointment for any amount of reasons. It’s ok it happens

Not to mention things just happen. I can take off whenever but my husband had to schedule his vacations out in October for the next year. So I go off his vacation to schedule.

As a therapist, I have weekly standing appointments with 95% of my clients. They are never upset about me taking vacations. Why are stylists expected to be there 52 weeks of the year?

Nail tech 🙋♀️my clients come in every 2-3 weeks so I only book out as far as 3 months. It’s easier then if either I need to cancel on them or they need to cancel on me for that week

It’s the same with teaching weekly music lessons, people are understanding if you have to change a lesson time every once in a while or if you need to cancel for vacations or illness

My salon had standing appointments, but the client was told their stylist may need to take that day off, thr client will always have that time slot available to them with a different stylist..

On this persons logic I wouldn’t have been able to take any time off for 8 years. I love my weekly clients but they also see I deeply need time off.
