I did pointe from about 5th-12th grade. If I’m remembering right, don’t you size down about a size (maybe more) in pointe shoes than you would in other dance/stree shoes?

I love the way a pointe shoe looks apart from the heel. It always looks either baggy there or like it’s too small & not over the heel properly

would you recommend crossing the elastics like that for a beginner on pointe? i just started not to long ago and my shoes will slip sometimes no mater how tight

We all tied our ribbons in big bows on the front to kinda break all the nervous tension once. Instructor cracked up. Of course we didn’t try to dance like that.
