I would have talked her out of starter, but since she insisted, I would recommend a new battery, my opinion.

it hapend to me , i change the starter, we call a mechanic, it turn out to be a loose battery wire

It wasn't a battery connection issue if you were able to crank the engine with the power probe before cleaning the cables...

Yeah I wouldn’t change the OEM starter until it failed. Rebuilt starter is a guessing game that I don’t want to play! 😂
