I bought a 3 bed at 26 but I have no kids got a load of help, some inheritance and rent out rooms to lodgers my parents at my age (33) had a 5 bed detached on 1 income and 4 kids that's the difference

I live in the US. Low cost of living city. 2 bed 1 bath is around $200,000. I make 70k, 0 debt, $40,000 to put down today. If the interest rate on it was 7%, Im within $150 of not making ends meet.
