I’ve mostly seen time limits in all you can eat settings because of people taking advantage by staying too long and basically getting an extra meal.

I wish the restaurant I work at had table time limits. I understand an hour but I have people stay for 3-4 hours on a busy night and we can’t ask them to leave

One time in Italy, I asked at a café if they had breakfast. He said they don’t have eggs. I never asked for eggs, but somehow he assumed I would want that.😂

The whole time limit thing depends on what kind of restaurant. Most depend on serving so many people a night to make a profit so a regular turn over is necessary.

i haven't seen the time limit at restaurants thing, but I've been saying place should start doing that. people will stay for hours at a table and not give extra tip, so the servers make less.

I immigrated here as a child and it just dawned on me now that eggs in the US is almost always breakfast. My mom made Spanish tortilla (a giant omelet with potatoes) for dinner.

I don’t like staying longer than an hour if the food comes out fast. But if it’s packed and takes almost 30 min + for food then I still try to scarf down the food
