Its not late this year tho, it usually blooms early april instead of march for the main blo9m. Last year was exceptionally early

that's why I prefer to go at the turn of February and March. the plum trees are still blooming and the crowds are smaller. checked 3 times.

It was snowing like crazy when I was there in early-mid March 😂 that was definitely not normal but I did catch like two early blooming trees

People coming in mid April might be in for a treat. I'm in Fussa this week, and have been fairly disappointed with the blossoms in Tokyo. Perhaps I'll be able to come back some day and see them
