First time ca bar passer: I did not study much on weekends until like 4 weeks from the bar. Treated the week like a 9-8. My big law firm paid a stipend for bills.

I took the bar in July and the best piece of advice I got was to continue study habits that worked for you in law school! If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I did 5 full days a week studying from 9-5/6

I have so many thoughts - most importantly it’s really hard. It’s a ton of information to remember it’s so overwhelming. And you have to study for about 10 weeks but can definitely take half days off

At the end of the day, you’re exhausted. I tried to get in physical exercise when I could - I would sit outside and study as well to get sunlight. I kept my usual sleep schedule I had during the

Maybe not 8 hours a day without breaks, but 5-8 hours on average. Don’t work while you study. Studying needs to be your full time job

1. Bru, I did the equivalent of the bar exam in Brazil (OAB), I have some tips about self care, as I can’t help you with the tips of the actual bar exam.

I studied for 10 weeks, every day and averaged about 6-7 hours a day. I was also working full time the first 6 weeks so that affected it. My biggest advice is to stay kind to yourself. The bar is

Study like a 9-5 job with natural breaks in between. Take 1-2 days off per week until the final 2 weeks. Workout midday and meal prep weekends.

I took the CA bar last July and I learned to basically ignore everyone else’s advice/opinions on how to study for it. What worked for me is I treated the bar like a full time job and studied 9-5 M-F !

Do a schedule that works for you and that you have been doing through lawschool. But ideally I scheduled my study time the same time the exam started to be able to physically sit through the exam.

Yes stop drinking, meal prep on the weekends or get meals delivered, do a laundry pick up service with a small business, maybe do a collab with a meal company and a laundry service.

If the suggestion is 10 weeks and you want a life do 20 weeks ahead of time so you have more personal time and you’re less stressed and rushed

Don’t be afraid to deviate from your Bar prep course. I am a visual learner so I made flow charts using Whimsical and hung them in my room to look at constantly.
