@nettlesandpetals: DO THIS with your Tomato Plants! 🍅🌱 Tomato plants are so much fun, and relatively easy, to grow from seed, yet one common problem is insufficient light levels resulting in ‘leggy’ plants as they draw towards the light source, but there is a solution… Any stem of a tomato plant has the ability to grow an entire root system, a clever mechanism allowing a tall plant to anchor to the ground should it fall over. This is why you can use the side shoots of a plant to create lots of clones. However a common misconception is that the tiny hairs on the stem are actually roots, but they’re not, they’re called trichomes which are used by the plant as a deterrent to crawling insects, reflect excessive light and heat and slow down evapotranspiration. So if your plants are looking a little leggy due to insufficient light, just pot up the plant into a larger pot and bury it deep, the buried stem will then root and mitigate this legginess making for a sturdier and healthier plant. This can also be done when the plant is ready to be planted in its final growing space. #gardeningtips #growingtomatoes #growingfromseed #organicgardening #vegetablegarden #allotment

I totally get that this is super overcrowded.I took a bunch of fresh seats from a tomato and stuck it in the soil. And nothing happened for a little while because of the weather in the light and all of a sudden this, I sprouting, i'm new to gardening. What would you suggest I do in this situation. my thoughts would be to break down some of the soil and separate them in different pots, but is in a compost style pot, which has roots growing through it under the bottom. So how will I transport it without damaging the roots

I would love to see a video on all veggie plants that can be buried deep. I seed started while in the middle of a huge move, so my poor seedlings got inconsistent lighting.

Also have gentle air movement to simulate wind conditions. Plants do not grow in still environments in the wild
