Full tour - Islamic school for muslims and non-muslims in Hokkaido Japan.🇯🇵 Three languages on the timetable. Kids from over ten countries in one building. Quran before the morning bell, then international curriculum and Japanese shikatsu. Met the principal, walked through every classroom, met some of the kids. Genuinely impressed by what they've built in a few years here in Hokkaido. -- Hi, I'm Zach. If you're new here, I'm a British Muslim who's lived in Japan for almost a decade. Earlier this year I learned about some social tensions between a minority community and locals here in Hokkaido. I went down the rabbit hole, and part of me wishes I hadn't. It uncovered a level of hate I didn't know was there. But I still believe the average person isn't what you see online. So I started a small mission: putting ordinary people in front of the camera to hear real stories, from people with real roots in Japan. The rest is the shanigans I get up to here, travel, food and just life here with my 2 daughters and wife.
