People saying no don’t know what they’re talking about. Servers tip out bartenders & bussers based on their sales regardless if they were tipped. No tip means that money comes out of their earnings

ours is 20% but min wage for a server is like $3.65 and they do tip out the bussers and hosts. but if someone walks off and doesn't pay

I have been a server for 28 years and yes it is true they take 15% on the total check out of the servers check

It actually depends on the establishment. Where I work we are required to pay a “tip share” to our bar back. The is a percentage of sales, not tips so if we get no tip, we are still losing a %
