Usually because some bellend at 23c decided to put their bag above your seat at 5a so your bag is half way down the plane and you are trying to get it before the isle fills

I usually wait until the majority of the plane has exited and then stand up and get my bag from the overhead bin and get off, less stressful.

Alot of people do it because of Passport control, For example when I flew to SZZ airport the queue to get past passport control was about an 1hr for everybody at the end (only 2 tills were open)
