Just remember, you’re allowed to be both happy he pulled through, and traumatized at the experience, at the same time. One doesn’t cancel the other out. Had to teach myself that.

My husband was in a terrible work accident around the same time your husband was hospitalized. No one would give me any information for almost 8 hours. That entire time I thought he was dead.

This 100%! I get the worst anxiety when my kids get sick at all due to one of our youngest needing to be hospitalized in icu due to a “normal virus”. This was about 2 years ago too.

They called a code blue while my ex was getting surgery to fix a really really bad appendix removal that left him in the hospital for weeks. I will never forget that feeling.

My 4yo son went septic a year and a half ago from pneumonia and I still get so scared every time he gets sick bc when we got him to ER I felt like I was in greys anatomy followed by a week admission

It's been 15 years since EMTs had to revive my mom in my drive way after her heart stopped. She's okay now & has a pacemaker. Sometimes I suddenly remember that night and feelings instantly come back.
