I stopped drinking alcohol so I could stop smoking. It doesn’t make sense to people but it did to my brain. April 15 and I’ll have been without both for a year 😁

I get it! I can’t do ANY fast food for the same reason. Once I start and let myself have it….. it’s just too easy to fall back into old habits.

I had bariatric surgery 8 months ago and I will never again introduce regular soda or diet soda back into my life. Before surgery I was SO addicted to regular coke. I would drink multiple cans a day.

@Kaitlyn Norris: I only drank Diet Soda- and I know I’ll never be able to go back! It was just a gateway for me leading to unhealthy foods, i know going back would be bad.

AMEN! I stopped all soda 8/30/23 in preparation for WLA. I had WLS on 10/31/23. I have not picked up that trigger for me since. I feel that if I did drink soda/carbonation the result could be bad.

I made a choice to stop drinking soda the day I started Wegovy June of 2023. Haven’t had soda since and down 73#.

Haha, it’s so interesting to see what works for some and not others. I drank liters of Diet Coke a week throughout losing 110lbs - fulfilled my sweet cravings completely
