sometimes fusion places lose the root flavors of their cuisines but Pig and Khao really holds on to it well and still has creativity about it 🫡

Not all true about first gen. My kids are, and hubby and I spoke English or taglish growing up in PH. Here in the states we speak English outside the house so when we come home it’s automatic.

yeah it's so true about being 1st and 2nd generation. My dad went through a lot of prejudice growing up Asian in California, and didn't wanted us to learn the language, be as "American" as possible

same thing with my parents. but they were wrong. Food, Music and language!! that's how you fall in love with any culture. Filipinos are beautiful.
