I’m a primary med PA and had an interview with an MD who was doing liposuction in his clinic basement and so he needed an APP to help bc he was too busy for his primary care pts 😳

people aren’t informed & don’t realize that 1. not every dr is board certified 2. a dr can practice an area of medicine w/o proper training/certification 3. not every certification is legitimate

An ENT and “plastic surgery within head and neck” is also an ABMS approved cosmetic surgeon, so no— goes beyond plastics.

I looked at the members directory of the ABCS and found that in all of Minnesota, there is only one member. But CA has dozens even though they are not certified there. What gives?
