Networking is an effective method of finding job opportunities, collaborating, and sharing knowledge. Here’s some ways to do it: ✨ join online forums and communities- FB groups, websites like Animation World Network. And Reddit’s animation communities are great places for asking questions and connecting with other artists ✨ use social media - social media platforms are great tools for networking. Follow industry professionals, participate in discussions, reach out to recruiters (politely!!), and share your work ✨go to art school - as I’ve said multiple times you DO NOT have to go to art school, but you ARE networking just by being there with your classmates who will enter the industry and your professors who have industry connections and may be industry professionals themselves. Plus, depending on the school, you will gain access to alumni networks specifically for art and animation graduates ✨participate in industry competitions - industry competitions, like film festivals, can be a great way to gain visibility and meet peers as well as industry leaders . . Networking as an introvert is NOT easy, but there are tons of tools at your disposal to help you do it. . . Remember, networking is about building genuine relationships over time.
