It’s a bit harder if you have kids together. You can’t just walk away and you need to be amicable for the kids. Best staying friends in this situation so the kids don’t see their parents hating eachot

Yes. Staying friends can keep you in the Hope stage, and that can stop you getting over them. Its hard, but letting them go is best for you in the long run.

Honestly me and ex stayed that way - an ex. It was tough but better because out of sight out of mind. that doesn't mean you dislike them and you still wish them the best.
