Sharing with you the building blocks to a thriving development 🙌🏻 If I had to choose my favorite open ended play toys it would be blocks! In fact, pediatric OTs use building blocks as assessments in therapy! Observation will indicate child's fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. Secondly, they provide insight into a child's cognitive abilities, problem-solving skills, and spatial awareness. Additionally, building block activities can assess a child's social interaction, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions. We play with blocks everyday!
