If you want to take your partner on a date and treat them to an incredibly good meal, we can highly recommend going to Olive & Plates With restaurants and Café’s around Johannesburg, we’ve come to Hyde Park corner, behind the Exclusive Books The first thing that stood out was the service. The place was packed, but we still felt well looked after   In addition to the menu, you have the option of heading of to this incredible salad bar, where your selection of freshly prepared salads are weighed out and brought to your table   Nick decided to go for Nonna’s Meatballs. Classic slow cooked tomato salsa, topped with fresh basil and parmesan shavings. This was a beautiful balance between fresh and rich and with extra parmesan and added chili, this was one of the best pasta’s he’d had in a while, coming out at R174.   Sarah was keen for meat, so I went for the fillet steak tagliata. A seared filet steak, marinated with rosemary, garlic and reduced flavored balsamic.
