@thekwendyhome: Have you ever tried force blooming any flowers indoors? It’s so beautiful and I find myself looking forward to checking on the progress throughout the days. Force blooming is a technique used to get flowers to bloom earlier than their natural cycle. By bringing home a stem or branch near the end of winter into the warmth of a home, it would “trick” the plant into thinking it’s an early spring and bloom earlier. Here I am force blooming a magnolia branch I got from @instaorchidflorist on IG when I first brought it home I gave the end of the branch a fresh cut and put it in room temperature water (about a quarter of the way in the case). It’s advised to put your branches out of direct sunlight and to change the water often. You can also mist the buds to keep them from drying out before they bloom. Branches that are great for force blooming are magnolias, cherry blossoms, forsythias, lilacs, hawthorns, quince, and apple blossoms to name a few! You can always ask your local florist what they can acquire because it is seasonal.
