This happened to me kind of. Had the surgery and was fasting. Had complications after and my sugar was 240 after more than 24 hours fasting. I had no idea stress could make your blood sugar high.

I have the WORST low anxiety too!! In the past with surgeries I’ve had, I asked what happens if I’m under and my blood sugar drops. The nurse told me they just put sugar in your IV to bring it up!!

type 1 here! i’ve had that low anxiety before too! maybe do some research on insulin pumps bc switching to a pump helped my low anxiety a ton! but ofc whatever makes u feel comfortable!

Anxiety is known to make blood sugar levels higher than they normally would be even in non diabetics! Definitely glad you played it safe even tho it sucks ☹️
