don’t try and set the hook with an circle hook, you have to set your drag loose and let the fish eat for a lot longer then start tightening the drag(not setting the hook)

Try cutting the top spikes on your live bait just before setting the the hook in for better hook ups and let the mulloway run for a bit to ensure the hook sets in or they will spit out the bait

I think you should put the ball sinker on main line and then tie a swivel to the end of the line. Then tie a 70cm leader to the swivel and the hook at the end of the leader
