@cspanofficial: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Wednesday said all Americans — regardless of political affiliation — are "united" in their frustration over the cost of prescription drugs. "We are sick and tired of paying, by far, the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs," the Senate Health Committee chair said from the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Noting there is more work to be done, Sen. Sanders highlighted some of the recent steps taken by congressional Democrats and the Biden administration to help alleviate the high cost of medication. He pointed out that the Inflation Reduction Act, which passed along party lines in both chambers in 2022, caps the price of prescription drugs for seniors and limits the cost of insulin to no more than $35 per month.
