@meggrowsplants: Hardening off your seedlings is a step you shouldn’t skip! You’ve worked so hard for weeks to grow these seedlings from seed, the last thing you’d want to happen is ☠️ Start off by bringing them outside for a couple of hours in a shady spot away from wind, rain, etc. over the next week, gradually increase the amount of time outside and the amount of sun until they are spending the day outside in full sun. Then you can plant and feel confident that your precious seedlings will be okay! #gardentok #gardentips #gardeningtips #gardening #gardeninspiration #growyourownfood
So jealous that some of you can do this already! Zone 6a here and it’s still quite a while B4 risk of frost passes

I put mine in total shade for 3 whole days then 2 whole days in the sun and they transition very well. Soil blocking helps as well with transitions.

Great tip! Thank you. I have my first round of seedlings that are about to be ready to be transplanted outside. Will definitely do this step before putting them in their permanent place. Thanks!!

In zone 7b, do you know if it is possible to grow things like kumquats? I heard they survive in zone 8a.
