what if the parent knows child pretty well and trust the child that child will never drive their car and then child drives it and causes accident? what are insurance implications then?

In Vancouver maybe. But in Toronto, the police have instructed ppl to “leave your keys by the door” to limit home invasions with the intent of stealing your car… what then? 😂

Parents might say the car was stolen and ICBC might pay. Or they may say the parents breached their contractual obligations and refuse to pay.

Probable Fate :
I have several cases like this. iCBC will pay the claim and put a judgement on the kid. Until the kid pays it, no licence in B.C. This is why they will get an Alberta licence in 2-3 years…

Heard that car was for sale and owner didnt ask for id to verify age or valid license .. like person couldnt tell the difference of age .. lol
