@thequietorchard: Nettles have a lot of brilliant folklore, Nettles or Devils Leaf, we’re once used to thrash the devil out of poor souls believed to be possessed! To made this Hayfever Tea, just take the fresh tops off the nettles & a few plantain leaves. You can use fresh or dried leaves. If you pick the nettle tips by just pinching and pulling upwards. The stinging hairs should not affect you this way and you pulling in the same direction that they lay. To ID: Nettle - The edges of the leaves are toothed & the surface veined not rough. The leaves grow opposite each other up along the thin stem. Ribwort Plantain- Grows in a rosette, the leaves have 3/5 veins strongly ribbing through. The landscape is abundant with what we need to forage for each season! I love how it tells me what I need to forage always! Always make sure you forage responsibility & do you research when ID’ing plants! #folklore #britishfolklore #foraging #foraginguk #nettles #hayfeverseason #hayfever #hayfeverrelief #wildfoodlove #naturelovers #thequietorchard #cottagecore
