Unlimited PTO is primarily so they don't have to pay you out when you leave. I get 22 days accrued (goes up with years served) and Christmas week off. Way better imo.

I work in software and my boss could not care less as long as targets are hit, I took 9.5 weeks worth of days last year. Not a problem.

it's great bc i don't have to worry about how much I've accumulated or when in the year i want to take my vacation. i just take it whenever I feel like.
