@momdaystudio: Movement during labor is instinctive for most and it’s a helpful way to create space in the entire pelvis for your baby as they descend and rotate. Ideally we want to change our position every 30-ish minutes during labor, exploring different positions with our hips as well as upright labor positions so that our baby isn’t fighting gravity and their head can apply downward pressure to our cervix which triggers the release of oxytocin to progress labor. Resting between contractions in supported positions can help to keep your energy levels up and keep your mind focused.
