@bratbustersparenting: What are ways to teach appreciation and gratitude to 7 and 9 year olds? I would give them chores, give them responsibilities, so they appreciate when they get something. If all they’re ever doing is trying to make everything fun and easy for your children, they’ll never have any gratitude. And when you give them treats, make sure they are surprises, not filling a demand every single day. You need to build that gratitude. It comes with time. P.S. So much ongoing issues with 13yr old stepson,lazy,argumentative,mean to siblings,won’t listen/or help out when asked,self entitled,nothing seems to help change.tried talks 1on1,arguments everything!
