Properties are probably reevaluated every 4 to 7 years depending on the state and municipality. My vacation condo went from mkt value $85k in 2020 to $265k in 2023. Will be reevaluated in 2025.

This was true for me in Nevada, but in Washington state the assessed value is true value (more or less), and we have about a 1% property tax. That makes more sense in my mind.
