These people saying it was already in the glove. Why doesn’t the catcher just jump out and catch it out in front of the plate. As long as he catches it before the contact it’s not interference? Wrong

Im an aussie and know nothing about baseball but the catcher had it in his glove before the guy would have made contact would of been a strike not interference

the rule states "act by a fielder which hinders or prevents a batter from hitting a pitch.". the batter swung and the ball was already in the catchers not. how is that interference?

seems like a legit call, he didn't swing wide, he's still well within the box, whether he'd have hit the ball or not seems immaterial if the catcher is stretching that far forward into the swing zone.
