Tip for the band step - use a silk band/scarf first and put the elastic band on top for the “pressure”. It will help avoid that white residue.

I find that when the wig band is dirty or has left over product, it's likely to leave residue. Try using a fresh lace band or scrubbing the lace band with water and a sponge so it's cleaner x

You get the white residue if you apply the band before the melt/lace spray dries. Make sure you dry it completely first then put the band.
