Aww poor baby, I feel like how you approached him was too fast, I’m not a vet but I’ve been around lots of dogs, and I was the very first kid that made my neighbors dog feel comfortable around other kids! Maybe hour after hour check up on the dog or day by day talk to the dog and compliment it and tell it you respect that they’re not ready yet to bond, then sooner or later you’ll have a new best friend
