I like to use things that we have around our house and then top them with either rock or preserved moss. And If your plant is shorter than you like, you can place an unused planter upside down and then place your artificial tree or plant on top of it before filling and topping your planter. This is a great way to add height without having to purchase a new faux plant. After DIYing this Faux Olive Tree I filled my planter with some old pillows, a worn-out blanket, some leftover matte (from the picture frames we made for our son’s space nursery), and finally white marble rocks . But there are a plethora of ways you can fill your planter using things you already have around your house! And I’ve included a mini list on my blog to help you get started as you decorate and fill your home with beautiful faux plants!
