Bill Cotter’s books starring Larry include Don’t Touch the Button, Don’t touch This Book and Five Little Monsters are full of great vocabulary words, silly pictures and text, and lots of chances to teach verbs or actions words. Marianne Richmond’s box set includes the sweetest bedtime books and books all about how much you and your child love each other! I usually don’t like books that play sounds and go on and on, because babies and toddlers tend to listen rather than try and make sounds. If you want to try these, watch your child to see how they react. If they’re mostly quiet, they may need to go back.
