@shallowchal: Apprentice wages should be TAX FREE as should all second jobs over 40 hours as well as overtime rates. Tax free incentives now are the way to go! Drastic action - everything else is just window dressing. My interview on radio 4BC today. #costoflivingcrisis #housingshortage #homeless #rental #inflation #foryoupage @David Crisafulli
You watch as soon as I finish my apprenticeship it will be tax free

Need to take it realistically as well. Tax free wage, subsidised essential tools and car. But also tougher exam system to guarantee the quality of output i think

Apprentices in rural areas most of the time especially working for small local companies have to pay travel to tafe or accommodation which is a few hundred dollars a week

there would be more tradesman if there was tougher laws regarding letting apprentices go. I lost 2 host employers and then I hit adult apprentice age and found it impossible to get back into the trade

I have to subsidize my son’s fuel and he pays no board io phone bills just to afford the basic costs of living. At least make there overtime Tax Free as an incentive, reward for hard work.

How about instead of just changing just apprenticeship jobs. We change the tax free threshold to $40.000?
