YOU AREN’T PROGRESSING because you’re not in a caloric defecit” We’ve all heard that shit time and time and again, but I think it’s important to note that food does a lot for your HORMONES as well. Don’t think hormones matter? Go to a bodybuilding show with one natty guy and you’ll SEE how much they matter 😂 Especially for women, having adequate fats & proteins is essential for managing leptin, ghrelin, and especially cortisol. If you want to lose weight (muscle & fat) - starve yourself… If you want to lose FAT - prioritize protein and ensure your caloric intake is ~30% fats. Introduce a caloric defecit by increasing activity and undulating carb intake over time so you’re fueled for the gym, but not having headaches and brain fog because the defecit is so severe. Aim for 1g protein per lb lean bodyweight as a guide!! You can calculate this by estimating your body fat % (look at pics online) and multiplying (1- bf %)*your body weight. #gym #nutrition #fatloss
