@ladyspinedoc: Replying to @CircleP Case study 120 - Annular Tear An annular tear is a tear in the ligament that connects your vertebra to your disc. This ligament surrounds the nucleus of your disc with a strong ring of cartilage fibers called the annulus fibrosus. The nucleus of your disc is a soft, jelly like substance that acts as a shock absorber for your body. Treatment is usually conservative as most of these issues do not require surgery. Physical therapy is the main state of treatment as well as time for the injury to heal. #sundaycasestudy #ladyspinedoc #healthcareworker #hospital #surgery #neurosurgeon #medicalschool #medstudent #medicalstudent #nursing #backpain #annulartear #acutebackpain #physicaltherapy

Does it really take 18 months to 2 years to heal? I have a herniated disc at L5-S1 and an annular tear, I’m so scared I have to get back to dance in 6 months

I just had surgery to repair a serious herniation and unfortunately had some complications and had to have a revision surgery to fix them. Two surgeries in a month, focusing on recovery now...

would this cause leg numbness? I've been having pain like this for 3 weeks now and my right leg has been feeling like it's asleep constantly. I'm seeing a neurosurgeon tomorrow actually

I’ve experienced 3 herniations within 10 months. I’ve done all the things you mentioned, I feel so hopeless. Someone told me about the McGill method. Do you know anything about that?
