the police sitting on our bed at night was an interesting surprise 🤣 If you're new here, my husband and I are traveling to every country and sometimes do room rating on the housing we are staying at! (Kinda like MTV Cribs except instead of million dollar mansions it's budget friendly beds 😁) The story of the police guy still makes us laugh. The first night we had almost gotten into bed when we heard a knock on our door and saw a guy, wearing a hat that said police speaking to us in Urdu. He didn't speak any English but we got the idea that he was asking to come in (we also had read that we would have to check in with the police when we arrived so we had a little idea who he was 😁) but then he proceeded to sit down on our bed and motion for Hud to sit next to him! Haha he was so kind and continued to talk and talk in Urdu. (Which the only word we knew was

When he left Hud and I looked at each other and were laughing at the little random moments like this where we are in a cabin in Pakistan, trying to hold a conversation in Urdu with a policeman who happens to be sitting on our bed 🤣 For those of you who might be thinking of visiting Pakistan the view at Fairy Meadows is definitely worth it! It is one of the most touristy destinations in the area so it is more developed than other areas. After a flight, bus, jeep, and then hike, we were expecting to find a few scattered cabins and areas for tents. But we arrived to a mini village (I think the goats still outnumbered the people, but there was a lot more here than we imagined!) The cabin itself was great! My favorite was the little furnace they lit for us at night! (Although the room filled with a lot of smoke that we opted to just sleep with 3 layers of clothes to keep warm the next night 😁)
