@nbcsouthflorida: Miami-Dade Police identified the security guard that was shot and killed at a bar in CityPlace in Doral on Saturday. Police say 23-year-old George Alejandro Castellanos intervened when an altercation broke out inside the bar and that’s when Jamal Wayne Wood pulled out a gun and shot him. Police officers then killed the gunman, and 6 bystanders were injured in the shootout as well as an officer. Castellanos' mother spoke with NBC6 who said that he was a father to a 2-year-old girl and was set to graduate from Florida International University next month.
