petticoat will definitely help, i think the main reason it feels wrong for you is the color does wash you out a bit, so adding some accessories or makeup with a bit deeper of coloring will help or if

Petticoat for but you can do another color of tulle under the light purple to add a touch of color. Personally id recommend a darker purple or a glittery gold. You could also do spray glitter
