@genevavanderzeil: Making glassware out of bottles 💎 This has to be the most requested posts and even though I’ve shared lots of videos about this before, I felt like it was time to really go deep on this - and give you the ins and outs of this little project! Because even though it’s a seemingly simple project, it’s most likely going to be something you need to practice to get it right. Just so you know, when I did it, I did 3, one worked perfectly, one was ok (not completely straight but passable) and the third one cracked wonky. So, it’s not easy! But it is simple. If you know what I mean? One thing I would reiterate over and over when trying this is to wear protective gloves on your hands made from leather or something along that lines (due to hot water and glass) and protective eyewear (due to working with glass). Also wear a mask when sanding and make sure to wet your wet dry sandpaper (a grit of around 400 is ideal) before you sand back the edges as you really don’t want to breath in or get it on your skin. And make sure to sand back the edges A LOT and until your edge is completely smooth. Phew! But, go forth and enjoy! #upcycling #upcycle #glasswareoutofbottles #bombayglasses
