@womenofillustration: How to get illustration clients 👀 No, it’s not too saturated, and yes, you can make money as a full-time artist! Even with AI doing so much work in the art industry and seemingly more and more artists trying to go full-time, there is still room for you. There is no one on the planet who can do exactly what you do. They don’t have your life experiences, they don’t have your technique, and if you give 10 different artists the same prompt, you will get 10 very different illustrations. That’s why it’s so important to practice your style and post only the kind of work that you want to get hired for. I received so much bad advice when I first started out as a freelance illustrator, where people were telling me that I needed to do a little bit of everything to attract all different kinds of clients to pay my bills. But it was only when I narrowed down to making just T-shirt designs that things got a lot easier for me.
